Delete your Bizzie account

What deleting does, how to do it, and how to ask us to do it for you.

You can delete your Bizzie account yourself, at any time, without asking us. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

1. Delete it yourself

In the web app. Sign in at app.bizzieapp.com, then go to Settings and choose Security. The delete option is at the bottom of that page.

In the Bizzie app. Open the More tab, then Delete account.

2. Ask us to delete it

If you can no longer sign in, no longer have the app, or would simply rather we did it, email privacy@bizzieapp.com from the address your account uses, and say that you want your account deleted. We respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

Writing from the account’s own email address is what lets us act on the request. If you can’t, tell us the business name and the email on the account and we will verify another way before deleting anything, because deletion is irreversible and we would rather be slow than wrong.

3. What deletion actually does

It depends on your role, because a business’s records are not the same thing as your personal information.

If you are the only owner of a business, deleting your account closes the business entirely. Its subscription is cancelled and every other member loses access immediately.

If you are a worker, an admin, or one of several owners, your login and personal details are deleted immediately and the business’s own records stay. Work you did (jobs, time entries, tasks) remains as the business’s employment and operational record, with your name replaced by “Former member” wherever it would otherwise appear.

4. What we keep, and for how long

Operational data (clients, jobs, invoices, time entries) is retained for 7 years to meet Australian Taxation Office recordkeeping obligations. That obligation belongs to the business, not to you personally, which is why those records survive an individual deletion.

Other personal information is retained for up to 90 days after account closure, then purged from production systems and, within a further 30 days, from backups. Security audit logs, which record who did what and when, are kept as a retained security record and are not part of the 90-day purge.

The full detail is in sections 6 and 7 of our privacy policy.

5. Before you delete

Export anything you want to keep first. Once the account is gone we cannot give you a copy of it, and for a sole owner the business goes with it. If you only want to stop being billed, cancelling the subscription does that and leaves your data where it is.

Not sure which you want? Email hello@bizzieapp.com and ask before you delete anything.
